Testimonials

"Carl Yanchar helped refine my visions in order to create one of the most beautiful studios I've ever seen. I have to pinch myself sometimes to make sure I'm not dreaming, I still can't believe this place is a reality.

Carl worked vigorously with me on making the right choices in different design situations, and I must say I am not disappointed with a single decision made. Every aspect of the studio is near perfect. We were even able to achieve perfect frequency response from our mains with zero eq.

Don't even get me started on the drum room. Never have I, or any of my clients, heard such a huge sounding room, in not such a huge space. Incredible!

Mr. Yanchar was fair and honest in his pricing, and I felt I got far beyond my money's worth. At the end of the day, he was the only person I hired who I could rely on.

I would highly recommend his services to anyone building some sort of production facility. You will not regret it."

"I had worked in a number of rooms designed and built by Carl Yanchar, and had always been impressed by his custom designed YDCG 15-2B monitor systems. I was very excited to be able to work closely with him in designing a state-of-the-art educational facility that incorporated these amazing mains, and I was not disappointed. Carl is the only studio designer I know of who is also an audio engineer / technician. That experience, and understanding of the big picture, proved to be invaluable. Without Yanchar Design, the project would have been a huge mess."

"Yanchar was the perfect choice, creating a design that fits today's record economy and workflow model. He understood where I was going with the acoustics and the style. One of the things that was important to me about the main live studio was that it had some live sound to it and then we could dull it down. There's nothing worse for me than a dead room that you're trying to liven up. It's much easier to go the other way."

"Yanchar Design & Consulting Group has designed studios for us on two separate occasions at different locations, and both times, the results were excellent. They have a thorough knowledge of studio acoustics and a great visual aesthetic. They were open to client input as far as function and design, and the final design drawings were detailed and accurate. All of our advertising clients comment on how beautiful our studios are and, of course, the sound is phenomenal."

"Carl Yanchar designed our facility from the ground up in 2002. The studio has been open nearly fourteen years and we have yet to find one thing we’d want to change. The traffic patterns are extremely efficient, and the acoustics are magnificent. To this day, I am still blown away by the place every time I walk through the door."

"Carl's hands-on approach to design and acoustics sets his firm apart from the rest. They are innovative, knowledgeable, and adaptive to on-site conditions. His extensive background in the audio and video field brings certainty to his projects. Their designs range from old-school traditional to state-of-the-art cutting-edge. It is always a pleasure to work with Carl and his professional team."

...."Soto fell in love with the room, which just happened to have been designed by Carl Yanchar, who set up studios for Kenny Rogers, jazz guitarist George Benson, and even some of the rooms at Chicago Recording Studio (CRC). 'The rooms are acoustically tuned, a nice large live room, there’s carpet on half for more of a dead sound, wood on half for more of a live sound. There’s a marble vocal booth, everything’s all wired, it was pretty much plug-and-play when I got here.

'I’ve  never  won anything,' Soto says, 'I finally  got my piece of  heaven on earth.' ”

"He signed on as senior sound designer on the STATION project and, in turn, hired sound designer and engineer François Blaignan, who has worked with Serafine for more than 20 years, and noted studio designer and systems engineer Carl Yanchar to be part of what (Mark Edward) Lewis calls 'a dream team of sound support'."
