The facility was designed within a new 4,000 square foot prefabricated steel structure with a 23 foot interior dimension at the gable roof and was built by Jorgensen Construction of Cedar Falls, Iowa. The ground floor has over 1,800 sf of live music recording area. The protruding glass cube at the southeast corner was designed to contrast the predominantly metal clad exterior and to accommodate the entry, reception and waiting areas.
Control Room 1 is 369 sf in area and was set up for 5.1 surround mixing and now houses a Neotek Series IIIC board (with JLCooper automation) and Tannoy SRM 15X monitors in the wall. The studio is a spacious 930 sf with 15 foot high sloped ceilings and large windows that frame views of the existing landscape and recreational trails and allow natural light to filter through. Two isolation booths flank this space. The smaller Control Room 2 is used for mastering and smaller recording projects.

The second level was designed as a mezzanine that overlooks the lobby. The open stair behind the reception area is divided from the lobby with metal screens and leads up to a lounge, office work center, conference room and storage areas. The use of glass screens was implemented in the design to retain the open feeling.
