Active Series

The Yanchar Design & Consulting Group Active Control Room Monitor Systems are the latest in an evolutionary series of control room monitors. Now featuring a high frequency ribbon driver capable of producing extremely high sound pressure levels, the system is ideally suited to the critical listening environment.

The unique high frequency driver utilizes a flat, rectangular diaphragm where the driving force is an integrated part of the sound radiating surface, resulting in an extremely low mass. The natural advantage is not only a flat frequency response to beyond 30 kHz but also superior transient performance and several orders of magnitude less distortion than the more familiar compression driver and horn combination which it replaces.

The low frequency drivers are equally innovative, employing a multi-magnet cluster to reduce distortion and improve cooling. Both single and dual woofer systems are available.

The complete system also includes appropriate power amplifiers, 4th order Bessell active crossovers, and 1/3 octave equalizers. The standard cabinets are finished in black lacquer. Custom sizes and wood veneers are available.

Passive Series

The Yanchar Design & Consulting Group Passive Control Room Monitor Systems are identical to the biamped series with one exception. The passive series utilizes an extremely high quality passive crossover system in place of the 4^th order Bessell active crossover.
